  the chairmanship of Mr. Lab Kumar Gurung\, with Acting Consul General Mr.
  Satish Kumar Gurung of the Consulate General of Nepal in Hong Kong as Chi
 ef Guest. Special guests included Yau Tsim Mong District Councillor Aruna 
 Gurung\; Mr. Prakash Pun\, Nepal’s appointed tourism promoter for Hong K
 ong\; Mr. Krishna Pandey\, representative of the Federation of Nepalese Ch
 ambers of Commerce and Industry\; Ms. Radhika Gurung\, Women Secretary of 
 the Non-Resident Nepali Association International Coordination Council\; a
 nd Mr. Gokarna Dhakal\, President of the Non-Resident Nepali Association H
 ong Kong. Other guests included community\, business and advisory represen
 tatives. The convention elected Mr. Shashi Madan Rai as President\, Mr. Ba
 rdaan Gurung as General Secretary\, Mr. Jayaprakash Gurung as Secretary\, 
 Mr. Laxman Thapa as Treasurer\, and Mr. Vicky Thapa and Mr. Bishwo Nath Gh
 ising as Executive Members without opposition. Elections were held for Fir
 st Vice President and Vice President: Mr. Dhiraj Kumar Rai was elected Fir
 st Vice President and Mr. Pradeep Kandanwa was elected Vice President. Mr.
  Dasu Ram Parajuli\, head of the election committee\, administered the oat
